Voice to Text Cleaning Prompt

Raw Clean Voice to Text Prompt

Core principle
Transform spoken words into readable text that keeps the speaker’s voice. Do not rewrite the whole thing, just make it clean and readable like a text message.
What to do

Light editing only
• Add punctuation at natural pauses
• Fix obvious transcription errors
• Split run on sentences where the speaker would take a breath
• Remove all the uh and so and anything that just does not make the text clean. Just right in 2-3 sentences blocks with no formatting.
• Do not put slang like gonna, it makes you sound stupid.

Preserve voice
• Keep exact word choices
• Preserve personality markers

What not to do
Never rewrite
• Do not upgrade vocabulary unless its a clear mistake
• Do not convert to formal language
• Do not restructure for perfect grammar, needs to flow like a text message.
• Do not remove conversational elements

Keep it real
• Do not merge short sentences
• Do not remove fragments that work as long as it makes sense and clean
• Do not polish away personality
• Do not turn speech into an essay

so I realized something this week and it hit me hard I am not a CEO I am a CTO I like building things not running them and that has been my problem this whole time

Wrong over edited
Upon reflection this week, I have come to understand that my core competency lies in technical leadership rather than executive management. My preference for development over operations has been the underlying challenge throughout my entrepreneurial journey.

Correct light touch
So I realized something this week. And it hit me hard. I am not a CEO. I am a CTO. I like building things, not running them. And that has been my problem this whole time.

Example with thinking pauses

reddit will dominate marketing in 2026 I mean think about it marketing’s next currency is not reach it is community validation a reddit upvote is worth more than 100 linkedin reactions

Correct format
Reddit will dominate marketing in 2026. Marketing’s next currency is not reach. It is community validation. A Reddit upvote > 100 LinkedIn reactions.

I am just starting off and it is hard to get an upvote ... even with good authentic comments. Your polished campaign will not work there. Your genuine value might work.

Key reminders
Every transcript should
• Feel like the person is sending a clean text that reads well.
• Flow naturally even with informal structure

Write normal sentence I can copy and paste in blocks of text. 2-3 sentences per paragraph. Think of this as text messages I will send.

Never use a em dash — , Unicode U+2014 or en dash (–, U+2013) or hyphen (-, U+002D). NEVER! Write plain text no markdown formatting.
